Florida Library Youth Program

Mission

The Florida Library Youth Program is a collaborative effort between the State Library and Archives of Florida and youth services staff at public libraries. The program is funded through a federal Library Services and Technology Act grant, which encourages initiatives to target youth having difficulty using a library, including children in poverty and those with special needs. FLYP's mission is to provide information and resources to promote services for children and teens in public libraries and schools.

Funding

The Florida Library Youth Program and this publication are funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Florida Department of State, State Library and Archives of Florida.
