We’d like to perform at your events for your summer reading program and any other events you may have. We have performed in 43 states and at nearly every library in Broward and Palm Beach counties. All shows feature comedy and multicultural dances from around the world. Upon request, each show takes on the element of storytelling as well. See below for info on our story used in our storytelling shows. We live in southern Broward County.

Below: the story that we use in our live show at libraries of Geddy the Gecko, the lizard that learned how to walk on water, he learned to make a splash and believe in himself and he came out on top, on top of the water that is!

Geddy the Gecko, Walking on Water by John Mallory

Mr. and Mrs. Lizard lived in a rainforest near the shore in western Costa Rica. The rainforest was a wonderful place to live. The trees, plants, and mosses were brilliant shades of green. Each day began with radiant sunshine. In the afternoons, rain showers fell on the treetops and water trickled down the trunks and vines to the ground far below.

Mrs.Nosy- A Composting Story

I am the author and illustrator of Mrs.Nosy-A composting Story.

This book is geared towards readers in the 4 to 8 year old category, as well as adults.

Mrs. Nosy – A Composting Story introduces young readers to the benefits and advantages of composting. The lively and humorous images illustrate the process of composting and facilitate the understanding of the text.

To find out more about the book click on:

I will be in the Saint Petersburg area of Florida  from January 6th to March 20th/2010 and would be delighted to have a reading for this age group at your library . I also have a mountain of information on composting and growing a butterfly garden that I could share with the children.

As well, I am a qualified instructor of watercolor with adults and children and I could conduct an arts and crafts session about composting and a butterfly garden.

Can Your Fines

The city of Newport News, Virginia has a library amnesty program to collect food:

"Help out your local Peninsula Food Bank and save money at the same time. Between Nov. 28 - Dec. 31, 2009 we are collecting nonperishable food items or personal items for the Food Bank. In exchange for each food or personal item donated, we will erase one fine from your account. Sorry, but we cannot accept soda or expired goods. This includes outstanding fines for long-overdue items, but does not apply to lost or damaged materials or to fees charged once an account has been sent to the collection agency."

$500 from Oriental Trading Company

I just discovered that Oriental Trading Company is giving away $500 a day until December 29th.  If you're like me and have limited funds for purchasing giveaways, this could be a great Christmas present.  You can enter once a day.
