It's never too late to schedule a library visit with Florida's national award winning author/illustrator, Janeen Mason. This summer she brings to life her work in "Going Around the Sun: Some Planetary Fun" written by another national award winning Florida girl, Marianne Berkes. Their book is being featured in all Florida libraries this summer as a part of "Out of This World Summer Fun". During her 1 1/2 hour presentation your children will perform the roles of the planets for a song and dance routine in "costumes" Mason claims are one-size-fit-most, as they tilt and roll, whirl and spin to the lyrics. Kids in the workshop will learn how Mason created the illustrations from melted crayons, and they'll surprise you with beautiful art they make together, as well as their new found knowledge of our solar system.
